August 17th - T124 Sisters playing in the waves in the Strait of Georgia

It was a blustery day on the 17th, but the whales were just out of the harbour so we loaded our 3 boats up and off we went! We found the T124 sisters - Elkugu and Sabio, along with their kids, Agafia, Litton, and T124A4A, travelling through the rough waters and playing with each other. There were several barrel rolls, some pec waves, and a few tail splashes as the families moved north into the Strait of Georgia. Sabio’s daughter, T124A4A, is only just over a year old, so this was probably a good way for mom and family to gauge the little ones’ strength. She was able to keep up with the family and was even playing with her cousins through the waves. At one point she and her mom Sabio surfaced through a wave with their mouths wide open, like big smiles!

We also stopped to see some wildlife, like harbour seals and sea lions, before returning to the harbour for the day.
