September 4th - Humpback soup in the Strait

On September 4th we caught word of humpbacks out in the Strait towards Vancouver. When we arrived on scene, we spotted two whales travelling together. This duo, “Snoopy” (BCY0770) and “Mammoth” (KEX0023) were travelling together for a bit before they split apart. Our boats continued to watch Mammoth as Snoopy headed further North. Mammoth was busily feeding in preparation for their migration. Our humpbacks migrate to their breeding grounds in either Hawaii or Mexico every fall.
