September 20th - Double Species Day!

We found Heather (BCY0160) and her calf Neowise hanging out in the Strait of Georgia not too far from home today. These two were doing some deep feeding dives to put on weight before they leave for the south in only a few short weeks.

After hanging out with Heather and Neowise for a bit we headed into the gulf islands where we found the T60’s traveling past the south end of Prevost and Salt Spring islands. These guys were moving pretty slow and steady and then something got them excited and we were treated to some breaching, spy hopping and tail slaps.
