August 2nd - Humpback whale soup in the Strait of Georgia! (Copy)
On August 2nd, we set out in search of whales with our zodiac boats. We were fortunate to come across humpbacks near Galiano Island! There were 7 humpbacks when we arrived there. Some of the humpbacks were seen to be travelling while others were seen to be milling. We were able to identify Raptor (BCY0660) and her calf, Harpy from the group. We even got a breach from Harpy. Harpy was recently identified to be a girl!
