June 28th - T-Party in the Belle Chains

Today was a spectacular day on the water! Our Naturalists managed to get some pretty incredible photos of the whales.
We started off in the morning in Porlier Pass watching the T124A’s and T124C (Cooper) traveling, porpoising and even doing some spy hopping!

T-Party Time!

In the Afternoon we caught up with the T36A’s, T65B’s and T65A’s! When we have multiple pods coming together like this it’s called a t-party! There must have been something in the water today, or maybe these whales were just really happy to see each other cause they spent a long time hanging out and playing at the surface. We saw plenty of tail slapping, pec slapping, spy hopping, barrel rolling and breaching! They even did some singing for us underwater and at one point they surfaced and actually vocalized above the water!! That’s a pretty big treat and rarely ever happens!
Check out some of the incredible photos below!
