October 20th - SIX humpbacks, yes, 6!!! Zorro, Split Fluke, Slide, Yogi, Fallen Knight, and Storm in the Strait of Georgia!

Cascadia was delayed at the dock for an hour as we all waited patiently for the fog to clear. The difference from 10am to 12pm was like night and day! And then it was humpback whale mania over here in the Salish Sea!

Two groups of three humpback whales had been found around Halibut Bank and the north arm of the Fraser River. Humpback whales Zorro, Split Fluke, and Slide were all traveling together and showing off their flukes. Not too long after, humpback whale Yogi surprised us and swam right underneath the boat! Just beside Yogi were two more humpback whales, Fallen Knight, and Storm. What an incredible day on the water - completely spoiled with humpback whales!

Here are the best photos taken by marine naturalist Rodrigo Menezes on the tour.
