Recent Sightings

We headed North during this trip and found the T034s, T037, T037Bs, and the T101s all travelling together near Denman Island!

It was a very special day getting to spend time with the Northern Residents (A23s and A25s) in Howe Sound.

We were lucky enough to spend family day with a very special family of orca, the T018s! Not only did we get to spend quality time with them, there was lots of other wildlife spotted along the way as well!

It was an amazing day spent exploring the Salish Sea, and getting to see a T-party at the end! This travelling t-party consisted of T087, T100E, the T100Bs, and the T124As!

Quadrata (BCY1255) the Humpback decided they wanted to be the first sighting of the season!

Another amazing day on the water getting to see feeding humpbacks, Sea Lions, and a orca vs humpback showdown!

A Humpback buffet in the Strait, Meqe, Tempest, Kraken, Yin Yang, Sherwina and Neowise sporting some full bellies today!

A lucky day on the water spent with Flier, Kappa, Splitfin and Raptor posing in front of the Coastal mountains!

We spotted some unusual whales today, including T049C Nielson and the T068Cs including a cute little 2023 calf! We also saw two humpbacks identified as Sherwina (BCY0961) and Scratchy (BCY1022).

It was a fun day spent on the water getting to see the T018s with the T035As, and then the two pods separately as well.

We were lucky enough to see five different humpback whales during our tour, BCX2192, Schooner, BCY0961’s 2021 calf, Harpy, and Yogi! In addition to the whales, we also saw Steller Sea Lions, California Sea Lions, and a Bald Eagle!

Double species day! Hooray! We saw the T123s as well as Polyphemus (BCZ0342) and Cassiopeia (BCY0796).

It was a humpback kind of day today. We saw 6 humpbacks including Corona/Phi’s 2022 calf (BCX1416 calf 2022), Nike (BCX1377), Mathematician (BCY0785), Fader (BCY0195), BCX1965, and MMX0355.

25 whales in one day, including 5 matrilines of Transient/Bigg’s orca (T034s, T035As, T036s, T037s, and the T038As) and 6 Humpbacks (Arial (BCY0767), Magpie (BCY1124), Scrimmage (BCZ0488), Big Momma (BCY0324), Harpy (BCY0458 calf 2020), Fader (BCY0195))

Talk about lucky! We got two different orca encounters today, once with the T037s and once with the T123s and T046C2. There were also 6 Humpbacks spotted including Polyphemus (BCZ0342), Manta (BCZ0155), Divot (BCX1057), Split Fluke (BCX1068), Bump (BCY0771), and 1 Unknown.
